What’s Better Than Disney Scrapbook Paper?

Cricut Expression Die-Cut Machine
How about a machine that cuts Disney themed shapes and Disney fonts out of ANY paper you choose? What if it does it easily and quickly? Would you love it to be so flexible that you can choose the size of the shape and adjust the cutting depth based on the type of paper (deeper when using card stock, for example)?

Well, such a machine DOES exist. I saw a demo of it in person over the weekend at my local Joann Etc craft store. It’s called the Cricut Expression and I think it’s totally awesome!

Maybe you’ve seen it on TV on a late night infomercial or perhaps you’ve got a look at it on the Home Shopping Network. At the time I’m writing this, the machine comes with the Plantin Schoolbook font cartridge, a 12 by 12 inch cutting mat, and user manual (this information is subject to change). The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is about $400, but if you’d like to save some money, you can buy it online for around $280 (at the time I’m originally writing this). Just click on the picture of the Cricut to find out more.

Cricut Disney Cartridge - TinkerbellIn order to cut the Disney shapes you’ll need to buy some extra cartridges. Some of the ones available include Hannah Montana, Mickey and Friends, Pixar Cars, and Tinkerbell. Click on the picture of the Tinkerbell cartridge for more information. There’s also a cartridge that has Winnie the Pooh fonts.

I’d love to hear your thoughts about the Cricut. How are you using it? Please share your creative ideas by leaving a comment. Thanks.

Flip Video

Introducing the Flip video line of cameras…

I just got my new flip mino video camera last week and I’m having the greatest time using it. It’s so small you can carry it in your pocket, it’s simple to use (really), the video quality is great, and it comes with free software that makes it a snap (groan) to download videos to your computer. Once the videos are on your PC, you can easily email them, upload them to the web (do you have an on-line scrapbook yet?) and even capture still photos.

The flip video camera comes in several models, including a new HD version. Mine came with a wrist strap, a carrying pouch, and a TV cable. I bought a mini tripod (it has flexible legs) so I could mount it to the top of my computer monitor and create marketing videos for my business that show me sitting at my desk.

For more information about the flip video, just click on one of the pictures I’ve posted here.
